Vanderpump is Just Crompton in a Cocktail DressThe Cromwell didn’t earn the nickname “Crompton” for nothing. Now they’ve given it a high-class, hoity-toity name, as though a rebrand will make everyone forget the place’s reputation. You can call it Vanderpump all you want. Until the reputation changes, it’s still Crompton. A r …

Help With HotelsSooooo we had a room booked through a room block for our wedding at the Cromwell from March 25-31st this year. With a bunch of confusion we discovered the room link booked us, and a bunch of others in our block, even though the hotel will be closed for renovations on those dates. …

EscalatorsWhy do only 30 percent of the escalators work at any given time? I'm already getting 20K steps I really don't need the added cardio. Some are broken so frequently they should be torn down and just made in to stairs (looking at you Cromwell to Horseshoe bridge).

re: What drink do you get comped - exactly? The comped drinks I most often imbibe in Vegas are Bloody Mary’s (extra spicy/ Cromwell ’s mix is very good) Tito’s and Soda (boring I know) Hula Girl (Pineapple Juice & Tito’s) Scotch (12 year Single Malt at the good places, JW Black elsewhere, never Red) Espresso Martinis (dark …

re: Where is YOUR favorite place to play table games and why?The table staff there always seem to want to have fun with me whereas elsewhere theyre just doing their job. I dont want to disparage other dealers because im sure it gets old quickly, but everyone at the Cromwell has always been great. Going in October and will definitely stop b …

re: Where is YOUR favorite place to play table games and why?Cromwell always seems to have good tables, decent mins, and quick wait staff. And rarely have I seen the angry player even at the blackjack tables. At the airport waiting to board for Vegas now interested to see of the rebrand has changed the overall vibe

re: Hotel suggestions… ingo as a base of operations before this trip (usually stay at Cromwell (now vanderpump) or PH/Paris for a great mid priced set of rooms but we were pleasantly surprised by the wedding team at the flamingo... Don't overlook it Next morning a cabana at the go pool topped it off ..

re: A quiet, cozy bar?During the day, some good options are Juniper at Park MGM , Whiskey Down at MGM Grand , Vista in Caesars Palace , Bound Bar at Cromwell (assuming once it reopens that it's the same vibe), and The Lounge at Harrah's. In the evening, they start having louder music and/or a DJ thoug …

re: A quiet, cozy bar?I know you said the Strip… but no love for Frankie’s Tiki Room in the responses? It is about as dark and cozy as it gets!!! I would have suggested Bound before it closed at the Cromwell . This might be an opportunity to check out the new version over at Vanderpump.

re: A quiet, cozy bar?The Bound bar at the Cromwell was my favorite bar on the Strip to have a quiet drink and casual conversation with friends. The cocktails were great and the bartenders friendly and experienced. I just hope the new Gigolo bar has retained the same atmosphere and personnel.

re: Thursday Night Football spot… 's a dive bar so it's nothing fancy, but if you like cheap "beer and a shot" or "beer and a hot dog" combos for $3-4, that's a great place to go. It's very centrally located, next to the Linq, so you got that whole mall if you'd rather have In N Out or something other than a dog.

Service was slow and they seemed to not clear plates for some reason. I went a couple more times and just didn’t have a great time, so I wrote off Giada. Happy to say that several

re: Fertitta-owned firm to buy Caesars EntertainmentThey've made it too easy to reach Diamond/D+ that it wouldn't be a feasible concept anymore. Maybe a couple seven stars lounges, but even that's doubtful at this point. The "mini" seven stars lounge they had at Cromwell didn't last long.

re: Hooker Stories… well and all that. A working girl uses the most cliche language possible...and it's like 8 o'clock in the morning. re: Trying to keep updated with Table Minimums (Report here!)… T properties except for Cesars will have $25 and maybe $50 tables after noon The TI tables are usually 15 even at night, but if you play the fortune bonus, it is a worse paytable than the standard one. If you have a car and go off strip, you can find plenty of $10/$15/$20 Pai Gow

re: Trying to keep updated with Table Minimums (Report here!)… always stay at the Cromwell and within a short walk, in the evening I can check out Cromwell, Flamingo , O'Sheas, Linq , and Harrah's to see if there is a table I might want to play at. Easily my favorite part of that area because of the ease of getting to various tables quickly.

re: Trying to keep updated with Table Minimums (Report here!)I was in town over Memorial Day weekend and was a little surprised to see craps tables at Horseshoe , Cromwell, Flamingo , and Harrahs for $10 in the mornings and some late nights. re: Trying to keep updated with Table Minimums (Report here!)… d casinos on the east side of the Strip (specifically, Cromwell to Harrahs ) will be your best bet as far as lower limit carny games are. On Fremont, the Golden Nugget offers carny games, as well as crappy blackjack, at the $5 level pretty much all the time. Some of the carny gam …

re: Trying to keep updated with Table Minimums (Report here!)Have there been reports of lower limit 3:2 at Cromwell?
