Las Vegas has active Michelin stars again. At the inaugural MICHELIN Guide Southwest ceremony on the evening of Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the guide gave two stars to Restaurant de Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand (chef Eleazar Villanueva) and one star each to L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand (chef David Lee), Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace (chef Nicolas Costagliola), and é by José Andrés at the Cosmopolitan (chef Anthony Taormina). No restaurant in the region took three stars. Three Las Vegas kitchens landed Bib Gourmand honors: China Poblano at the Cosmopolitan, Esther's Kitchen in the Arts District, and Yen Viet Kitchen on South Decatur near Chinatown. Sean Christopher of Joël Robuchon won the guide's service award, and the young chef award went outside Nevada to René Andrade of Bacanora and Huarachis in Arizona. The Southwest guide covers Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah. This is Michelin's first Las Vegas recognition since the standalone Michelin Guide Las Vegas ended after its 2008-2009 run, when Joel Robuchon held three stars and Restaurant Guy Savoy, Picasso and Alex held two. source
